Stream Deck control, the video feed of the plot, VOR overlay output, and unattended displays.
Stream Deck
A Stream Deck plugin is included in the application. Settings, Show Details, Stream Deck provides the plugin download and ready-made profiles for 6-key and 15-key devices.
The available commands cover plot operation: step back and forward, switch to the Master, Calling or Operator layout, Add Cue, Insert Above, Insert Below, Goto Cue, Tracking on and off, Undo, Resync and Follow.
The keys act on the browser windows signed in as the same account as the machine running the Stream Deck software, making the device user-specific. If that account has no window open, the key reports it rather than acting elsewhere.
Video feed of the plot
The application can serve the live plot as a standard RTSP video stream, suitable for a console's video display or any device that accepts an RTSP source.
Settings, Connections, Video feed configures:
- The view: the full master plot, or a portrait spot summary strip.
- The network interface the stream is served on, so it can be confined to the wired production network.
- The port and path. The default address is
rtsp://<host address>:8554/plotat 1920x1080.
On an ETC Eos console, add the address as a video stream to display the live plot on a console monitor.
VOR overlay output
For productions recording with VOR, Spotlight Maestro transmits live text overlays so the recording carries the spot calls that were current when it was made.
Settings, Connections, VOR enables three independent streams, each with its own overlay address and line-wrap width: the calling line, a selected spot's instruction, and the spot summary. A test control sends a fixed-width line so the overlay can be positioned and sized in VOR before recording.
Unattended displays
Any browser device can carry a read-only master plot that always follows the live cue: sign it in with a Monitor account (chapter 7), or open the display address given in Settings, Connections.
The application log
Settings, Connections, App Log downloads the application's own log: connections, console traffic and restarts. It is distinct from the show's change log, and it is the primary diagnostic record for connection problems. Every backup automatically includes the recent portion of this log.
