Help that understands
it is the half hour call.

Spotlight Maestro is built for lighting professionals. The manual covers the app end to end.

The manual

Setup and first plot, the console connection, every layout, every settings tab: written by role and feature, so the designer, the caller and the operator can each start at their own chapter.

Lost your licence file?

Licence files can be re-sent to the address that bought them. Use the form with the topic set to resend my licence, and give your production's name and, if you have it, the licence reference.

When we look at your show, you can see us do it.

Sometimes fixing a problem means opening your show. Spotlight Maestro has no secret manufacturer login. Instead, support signs in with a one-use pass that we create for your show alone, that expires within hours, and that is spent the moment it is used.

Scoped to one show, so a pass for your production opens nothing else. Logged where you read it, in your show's change log, named and timed. Disclosed in the app, in Settings, Connections, Support Access.

The five-minute fixes.

?

A device cannot reach the plot

Check the device is on the show network, then use the numeric address or QR code from Settings, Connections. Android devices need the numeric address. If the host machine's firewall is on, allow incoming connections for the app.

?

Connected, but not following the console

Look at the status pill first: listening and receiving is very different from listening in silence. Then open the live monitor in Settings, Console Sync. It shows every message as it arrives, and the manual's console chapter has the checklist per console: ports, transport, framing and filters, which is where this always is.

?

The plot follows, but lands on the wrong cues

Use Send Test Cue in Settings to fire cue numbers with no console attached: it must find cues by the console cue numbers written in your plot, so it shows you exactly which numbers do not line up.

?

Two machines, and devices land on the wrong one

Two copies of the app on one network will announce themselves and warn every device, but the cure is the workflow: one host runs the show, everyone else joins it in a browser. One version of the show is the way to go, with everyone else logged in via browser windows.

?

The admin password is lost

Do not lose this information. In urgent cases, support can fix the problem, but better to avoid this and keep track of the admin user and password.

Say which console and platform the show runs on, and include your licence reference from Settings, Show Details. If the problem is about data, keep a backup file ready to attach to the reply you receive: one file tells the whole story, app log included.
