Short and readable on purpose. This is what you buy, what you may do with it, and where the lines are.

Who you are buying from

Spotlight Maestro is made and sold by Gavan Swift in Australia, under the registered business name, Spotlight Maestro. You can reach us any time at followspot@spotlightmaestro.com.

Payments are handled by Paddle.com, our merchant of record. Paddle is the seller of record for your transaction: it processes your payment, calculates and remits local taxes, and issues your tax invoice. Paddle’s own buyer terms apply to the payment itself.

What a licence is

A licence covers one production, named at purchase, and is bought outright. There is no subscription and no renewal.

The licence file fixes the production title, venue or tour name, number of followspots, and the administrator account. These cannot be changed after purchase, so check them carefully at checkout. If you make a mistake, contact us: see the refunds page.

The licence covers that production on whatever computers the production uses. Operator devices connect through a browser and need no licence of their own.

What you may not do

Do not share, resell, or transfer the licence file outside the production it names. Do not attempt to alter a licence file: the app rejects modified files.

Do not reverse engineer, decompile, or build products from the software except where law expressly permits it.

The demo

The demo is free, carries a sample production, and does not expire. It exists so you can prove the app against your own console before spending money.

Updates

App updates are one download for everyone. Your licence file keeps working across updates; there is nothing to re-buy and nothing to re-activate.

Warranty and liability

The software is provided as is. We work hard to keep it dependable in live production, but we do not warrant that it is free of defects or fit for a particular purpose beyond what the law requires.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability in connection with the software is limited to the amount you paid for your licence. Nothing in these terms excludes rights that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable consumer law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Australia.
